Welcome to The Sunshine Happy News! My nine year old granddaughter, Trinity, came up with the name for this online paper for just happy news. With so much negativity in the paper and online, I wanted to have a place where people can let others know about the good things that are happening around. Did your child or grandchild do something to make your proud? Let us know! Did you or someone you know earn an award? Let us know! Do you have tips on eating and staying healthy? Let us know that too! We will take stories and articles on any good and positive news. If you want the world to hear your sunshine, happy news, email it to demeorm@gmail.com Let's make everyone smile with happy news!
A happy thought from Laurie K. -
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Martha! My sunshine moment of the day, seeing Martha and Rich at work. This adds sunshine to my day that lately has been cloudy.
Laurie, thanks for being the very first one to add happy news! :)
DeleteAgain at 8 am everyone climbed out of the vans and headed for the tool sheds. Shovels in hand 7 young ladies and men headed to
ReplyDeletedig and entire driveway area 45 feet long and 8 foot wide. By noon it was done. Yes, can you believe it the entire drive way is
dug. One bedroom floor, 9 kitchen cabinets, side porch/steps painted, and many small things done. Today was an early day,
as it is tradition for everyone to go to the French Quarter for sight seeing when the volunteers come in. Donned in dirt, and
sweat they headed back for the church to clean up and head out. Paw Paw and I stayed to lay one more floor down. We got it done.
Tonight I got home and started cooking a huge pot of chicken and sausage gumbo for the guys to have Thursday evening. So the
prep is done and tomorrow I will have to finish it off and cook the rice. The week is coming to a rapid close so Thursday is
a big day for us to get so much done. I know I am tired and wearing thin. Great work by all
What a fabulous idea for a blog....and especially on today....nice to meet you!
